Connecting, Empowering and Inspiring Believers Around the Globe

‘Trust the Lord…Proverbs 3:5.’ Even though we say that we trust the Lord to resolved a problem, heal an illness or fulfilled our hearts desire. One thing I learned is we are flesh and blood as well as spirit. That is where the struggle begins, we want immediate gratification (flesh and blood) and we do not want to wait (spirit). When we learn how to wait we become empowered to trust what we cannot see, the great movement of God.

In this past year I struggled with staying focused. The days when I couldn’t see my way clear, those were the days of my greatest opportunity to trust God. One scripture that often came into my spirit was Proverbs 3:5-6. That was God speaking to me saying let go and let me handle your concerns, your frustration and your unemployment. I would say that by the third or fourth remembrance I finally got the message. This is where my spirit took over and I let go. I gave the Lord all of my baggage and it now belongs to him. In return I received an immediate peace as well as an employment opportunity. God is awesome, that is why I adore and worship him.

Today’s question:

What was a situation you dealt with where you said; I trust you Lord, but you keep control of the situation?

Powerful words my sister....that's my favorite passage actually. Leraned it when I was a 14 years old nappy headed boy in Brooklyn in need of a job! My mom told me to get down on my knees and pray and so I did. That experience led not to just any job but the exact one that i needed that would serve as inspirational pivotal point in my life; a job at MT Carmel BC, under the leadrship of Dr. V Simpson Turner. There i learned not only dynamic skills to work with youth at the homework center but i was inspired by a pastor who had a heart for his community. I later became a member at his church and was baptized there leading my entire family to membership there as well. Since then, my life has never been the same. It all started with asking my mom a simple question and being told to trust God. I'm so glad that i did. That of course, was just the beginning of my journey of knowing the God that i could trust with anything. Since then I have learned to trust Him for everything. Never will forget a time in life when I was so depressed that i thought I would loose my mind. The enemy thought he had me but Jesus came and grabbed me and told me to keep my mind stayed on Him! Again, i resorted to what i knew best...trusting God and He delivered me. Still crazy....but only about Jesus! Father's Love to you.
