Just now I was lying on my couch sulking. I was in a bad mood about a situation that I had been praying about for a little while now when my youngest daughter wakes from her afternoon nap. She grabs my phone and starts to play with it. Then she starts climbing all over my back pushing buttons on my phone. She then climbs to the top of the couch and throws my phone done really hard hitting the back of my leg. I took the phone with attempts to hide it from her under the couch. She of course sees it and decides she wants it back. Now I had placed it right under the couch which was very easy for me or her to get. In her attempt to get the phone she unexpectedly pushes it back further under the couch. When I noticed her struggle I decided to get the phone myself because in my mind it wasn't that hard to begin with. As I was trying to get my left hand under the couch I became aware of how far back she had pushed it. I then got down off the couch onto the floor to attempt to reach the phone again with my left hand while hurting my wrist in the process. To my dismay I still couldn't reach it, I tried opening my glasses in efforts to allow the stem to pull the phone back towards me making it easier for me to grab it. Having a mind of its own, the stem folded. I knew that I was going to get that phone, so I pushed my right hand forceably while using my left to lift the couch just a little bit, and what do you know, I grabbed the phone with ease. When I grabbed the phone, out of my own mouth came forth these words, "The right amount of determination can get you anything you want." Within seconds I knew I heard a word from God concerning my situation.
My question to everyone reading this, "What is it that you want?" Once you know what it is, stop at nothing until you get it.
