Matthew 22:1-10
1Jesus spoke to them again in parables, saying: 2"The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. 3He sent his servants to those who had been invited to the banquet to tell them to come, but they refused to come.
4"Then he sent some more servants and said, 'Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner: My oxen and fattened cattle have been butchered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.'
5"But they paid no attention and went off—one to his field, another to his business. 6The rest seized his servants, mistreated them and killed them. 7The king was enraged. He sent his army and destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8"Then he said to his servants, 'The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come. 9Go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.' 10So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, both good and bad, and the wedding hall was filled with guests.

When I came to Christ, I was in the mist of my sin. Let me be transparent for a second…after I came to Christ, things actually got worse before they got better. Thanks be to God for his grace.

I can also remember some of the people that tried to tell me about Christ. No one could break through that cocky, stubborn, hot headed temper and ego. However, some of them knew they were suppose to go to the streets. Somewhere in life, I moved from the first group into the second group. I use to deny Jesus, but one day one of his servants was on the street at the right place at the right time.

God wears many hats and one is an Event Planner/Administrative Assistant. God has pre-ordain/planned for his servants to have encounters/appointments with unbelievers. It is up to us to be obedient and go where and when he tells us to. Also, it’s important to be ready. You do not have to be a bible scholar to plant a seed or win a soul. People ordinarily are decently smart and can tell if you are faking da funk. Just be yourself. Tell them about why you follow Christ, how you came to love him, and what you know about him.

After that, if they come to Christ, wonderful! The Angels in heaven will rejoice. If they don’t come to Christ, just your being obedient will plant a seed in their spirit. Now you can leave it up to your Event Planner/Administrative Assistant to set them up with someone else that will fertilize the seed or help it to blossom. You only need to be obedient and go to the streets.

Go get Brittany, John, Madea, and Big Daddy. Go get Lil Susie, Lil Mane, Lil Jon, and Lil Wayne. Go to the streets. Go get Grand Tete, Grand Uncle, Grand Pops. Your study partner, best friend, your boys and yo’ girls. Go get them.

Let them know about Jesus. Tell them about Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” and Romans 10:9 “That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Invite all that you know and don’t know to be in the wedding hall (heaven).

John 14: 6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Heavenly Father, thank you for your grace that allows a sinner like me the ability to come to you. Father forgive me my sins and lead me away from the hands of the enemy and his plans/schemes. Help me Father to seek your will and to hear your voice. And when I hear your voice, grant me the courage to be obedient to your call. It’s not always easy to follow your will, especially when I know friends and everyone around me is watching me. Give me the strength to do what you want me to do. Thank again. In Jesus name,
