Can Your Dry Bones Live Again?

 ¹ The hand of the LORD was upon me, and He brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. ² He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. ³ He asked me, "Son of man, can these bones live?"  I said, "O Sovereign LORD, You alone know."   ⁴ Then He said to me, "Prophesy to these bones and say to them, 'Dry bones, hear the Word of the LORD!   Ezekiel 37:1-4

Ask yourself, “Can my dry bone situation be resurrected? Can it be brought back to life or is it too far gone?  Can I truly and productively live again?  Can God really restore my downtrodden situation again?  Is there really life after this dead situation?  Can I love again after so much hurt?  Will I ever get all my bills paid off because it looks bad right now, real bad?  Will I ever get the transfer that I want?  I know it’s in God’s will that I do better.  Will I ever own a home before my children grow up?  Lord, are You ever going to give me that new car that I need so bad?  When are You going to bless me?  It seems that everyone is prospering but me!!!  Lord, have mercy!

Well you are in the right place at the right time.  First, spiritually you are in the perfect position to be blessed by God!  If any of those are your questions, you are in store for a knock your socks off blessing.  But you got to be in position.  Are you in position?  That’s very important!  In order to receive your blessing you must, and I repeat must be in position to receive it!  If you are not, you will miss it or someone else will be standing in your place.  Yes, what God has for you it is for you.  It has your name on it.  But listen to me good! It will not go wasted if you are not ready to receive it.  He is a patient God, true!  He will wait, but if you don’t want it, someone else does.  You’ve heard the old cliché one mans trash is another’s treasure.  Thank You Lord!  It truly is! 

Again I stress, are you in position for your blessing?  Are you walking as God has commanded you to?  Have you begun to focus on Him rather than the things of the world?  Have you begun to bridle your tongue and repent quickly when you realize that you have error? Repenting is not just lip service, but also actions.  Have you turned away from those old sinful ways?  Are you still shacking, are you still committing fornication and adultery?  Are you still creating chaos in the lives of others and enjoying it?  Are you still the troublemaker at wor?.  Are you the person that everyone calls after church to keep the mess going?  Are you still robbing God with your tithes and offering? Are you devoting time into kingdom building?   Are you still telling people a piece of your mind when things don’t go your way?  Are you, are you, are you?  The list goes on and on. 

The bottom line is, are you in position for your blessing?  Will God bless you?  Absolutely!  But the ultimate blessing that you are waiting on requires a sacrifice on your part.  No good thing will He withhold from you who walk according to His Word, not your word, not my word, but His Word!  All the things of this world were created for us.  God does not need them, neither does He want them.  They were created for our luxury and needs.  Since God is our Creator and Sustainer, He needs nothing. 

I ask you again, can your dry bones be resurrected again?  Absolutely!!!!  The responsibility to live a holy life pleasing and acceptable to God is on you.  You control the timeline to your blessing by your walk with the Master.  You can procrastinate, or you can just stand still.  It won’t come until you believe God for your miracle.  God took Ezekiel on a spiritual journey to the Valley of Dry Bones.  The bones were dead and I mean dead.  At the time of death there is breath in the body.  As the body decay the flesh leaves the body and the only remaining body parts are the bones.  The reason this situation looked impossible is they had been there for a while; it was just bones.  Help me Holy Spirit!!!!!  First there is death (no remaining life), then there is decay, and loss of all tissue and finally, the result is dry bones.  Dry bones represent no life possible in a normal situation, no need for CPR, no need for an IV and beyond the stage of medication.  In fact, the mourning group had been long gone. This was a situation beyond repair.  The stench period was over! Can these bones be resurrected?

I still say yes!!!  What you are going through right now is temporary if you allow it to be.  Surrender it to the Lord and He will resurrect your dry situation.  He will restore life to your situation with such a great quickness that you won’t be able to recall just how dry you were.  You will know it happened and vaguely remember the cycles that you went through, you will even remember the pain was significant, but you will no longer feel it.  He will remove all your pain and replace it with joy! 

This is special message from God!  There is a time to plant, a time to nurture and a time to harvest.  The harvest time is referred to as your season.  So many times God opens the door for our season of blessings and we miss it because we are quick to say we were just lucky.  There is no luck in the kingdom of God!  God operates in divine blessings.  While you are around saying you were just lucky, what you don’t know is you just slapped your Provider in the face! Know Him and you will know and recognize your season!  Thank You Lord!  Somebody is going to be delivered after this.  His Word does not return void!   I stand on that by the blood of Jesus.  Hallelujah!!!! Amen!! Praise You Lord God!!! You are worthy!  Hallelujah!!  We Reverence You Today!

The Lord took Ezekiel to the Valley of the Dry Bones.  He had him to walk among them.  There were many; they were everywhere.  The Lord wanted to show Ezekiel a miracle about resurrecting dead situations.  He wanted him to be a witness that they (the bones) were real dead and there was nothing about them that represented life.  Oh, but God! He asked Ezekiel if those bones could live again.  In fact, He called him “son” which represents a relationship between He and Ezekiel.  There is a lot we can get from this devotion.  In order for God to resurrect our dead situation we have got to have a personal relationship with Him.  He’s not going around resurrecting just because He is bored. But, He is meeting the needs of His people.  You won’t know that until you spend time in the Word and build that personal relationship with Him.  Ezekiel was minding his own business and verse one says the Lord came to him and took him into the Spirit of the Lord!  Wow! That’s awesome!  Don’t you want God to take you in the spirit and show you how your dead situation can be resurrected?  Some of us are living in that dead situation because we don’t want to let go!  You have gotten comfortable in it.  You don’t like what it’s producing but you say what the heck, nothing or no one is perfect!  God said no!  Let me resurrect that dead situation and bring life back into you.  You are walking around dead and sadly, content in it.  You can’t help anybody else!  You are dead! Real dead!  Praise God!  If your life is not producing life something is wrong. 

God told Daniel to speak to those bones and prophesy breath into them.  God commanded the four winds to breathe life into those slain and dead bones.  Let the Word of God speak to you and resurrect that graveyard situation in your life that you have given up on.  But God said, it’s not time to give up yet.  If He told you to start that business, start it in faith, if He said go back to school, start making plans, He already has your babysitter.  When that helper He has ordained sees that you are serious, they will step up to the plate to help you.  You’ve been talking that dead talk too long, nobody believes you.  God said get up out of that grave called fear that has you bound.  Some single mother is tired of renting, God said trust Him, and He will make a way!  You can’t trust Him and then leave Him to try it on your own.  I thought I couldn’t do it either, but I did, not because of me but because He said He had the mortgage. It trusted Him and He is still faithful.  Why?  Because I still trust Him and I am going to keep on trusting Him!  I am talking to somebody.  I may never know who, but you know who you are. 

We all fall down, but GET UP!  Speak life to that situation.  Someone is applying for job after job and every time withdrawing at the last minute because of fear. Then there is someone else that won’t apply because they are afraid that they can’t perform on that new job.  Let me tell you something, God is the best trainer you could ever have.  I speak from experience!  You can’t just rely on Him to get you there; you have to rely on Him daily to keep you there!  He will; I am a living witness.  The job description looks scary.  They tend to weed out the weak.  But you are a child of the High King.  You are not weak. Try Jesus!  Surrender that fear to the Lord.  He will provide.   Can your dry bones live again?  Absolutely, I will agree with you in prayer for your resurrection!  Praise God!  Reverence Him Today!
