When I responded to your question. I mentioned that I get that same type of responses from guys. The words that you used in your questions are some of the words that they used to describe me. Some of the words, I would use to describe myself but there are many others too that I would use describe me. I work at a bank but that that does not really make me a banker because I work there. Like it does not make a guy in a police uniform a policeman. As you said you need to know who you are so you do not allow others to tell you who you are. I am a lot of things and there are a lot of things that I am still striving to be. However, if you do not want to take to the time to see whatelse there is to know after the first impression that it your choice.

I also read or saw on tv that guys look at women and say she gets her nails done, hair done, drives this, wears that etc I can not affford that I am not going to be able to do that you for her or I will not do that for her. When I meet guys I am not asking you them to do these things for me... NOT THAT I HAVE ALL OF THIS GOING ON. It is just an example. :) I am grateful that I still have a job to be able to afford some of the things that I still am able to do. When I meet guys I am not saying Hey I need to to keep this up for me. This just goes back to someone's remark about being careful how you come across to others. You may need to check that out.

I guess what I really wanted people to know when I intially responded was that We get side tracked on all of the wrong things. IE- I am in a management role at work, the oldest child in my immediate family I have a lot of responsbility. However, I am not trying to be SUPERWOMAN. I am looking for someone that I can partner with for life. I understand that the man is the head. I do not have a problem submitting to a God - fearing man that loves me as Christ loved the church. If most women that are in a leadership role in life and keep it real they are probably tired of taking the lead role and want to pass that hat to the prince that God is preapring or has prepared for them. I know I am!

When people tell you something you listen, remove the tone, take what you need and see if there is some truth to it. Make the change if you need feel or see the need too if not thank them for their opinion and move on.

Everybody wantd to feel wanted and needed.. men and women. It is hard for a women to give up the control when she has been doing things for herself for a while. If he is smart he should realize that they have not reason to be fearful of whatever she has but the women should be mindful not to constantly remind him of her accompolishments. Any way if you have had it to a certain level in a relationship where it may be longer term both parties should be proud of the other person and truly appreciate who they are.If yu do not have that type of respect for the other person it wont work.

Well my opinion to that is YES, YES, and YES but I'm not going to say all men. Now some men when they see a woman with that confident they're afraid of approaching them because they don't like to be put down. Because they have that same confident too.
