Mary Ellen Roussell grew up in a Christian home, and has always known about God. She was encouraged even from age 5, to develop the talent that God had given her for singing. Thus she began her music ministry as part of the St. Matthew Gordon's A.M.E. Zion Church Choir under the leadership of Rev. Claude Christopher.
Mary Ellen was led to the Lord at the tender age of 10, by her mother; who was a Child Evangelism Fellowship Teacher. Her childhood was filled with simple Christian fun, along with training through backyard Bible Studies, rallies and Vacation Bible School.
At age 13, she followed her sister to Southside Tabernacle Church. It was under this ministry that Mary Ellen was baptized in water, and in the Holy Spirit. Her dynamic leadership of the Southside Tabernacle Church Praise & Worship Ministry gained tremendous accolades and recognition.
Mary Ellen is married to Rev. Dr. Michael K. Roussell. Together they make efforts, daily, to accomplish the will of God in and through their lives. Additional accomplishments include ministry opportunities with travel around the nation and in different parts of the world. In addition to singing, she counts her work with children as a great blessing.
To God Be The Glory!

Its indeed a pleasure to meet you. God does have a way of working. I just got married a year ago to a minister. So, I am learning what it is to be a minister's wife. The best thing is that we have been friends for over 25 years. Most of the pressure of being a minister's wife comes from everyone else. What is your thought on it.
