Jeffrey Favorite, TeleWorld Broadband Systems, And You "Growing God's Kingdom Through Technology".

Hello! My name is Jeffrey Favorite, one of the founders of Audio Video Communications (AVC) and TeleWorld Broadband Systems. TeleWorld is committed to growing God's kingdom through technology. Through out the history of the church we as a church have always been behind the technology curve. With exception to some larger churches who has large budgets for television programs. TeleWorld mission is to introduce a medium that will assist the church by providing educational programs for ministers and members, association through preaching and teaching with sister churches, and communication utilizing a medium that is easy and accessible; Thus bringing the church from behind the technology curve to the front of the technology curve.

The medium I am referring to is videoconferencing. Videoconferencing is an interactive tool that incorporates audio, video, computing, and communications technologies to allow people in different locations to electronically collaborate face-to-face, in real time, and share all types of information including data, documents, audio and video. In essence videoconference removes the barrier of distance that separates us. The simplest way to think of the video conference is to think of the Video Conferencing Unit (VCU) as a video telephone. Not only can you hear the person at the other (End, Location, or Site) and they can hear you; but you can see them also and they can see you. Videoconferencing is the future video telephone today.

• Imagine! How would you like to be able to have church services, bible school, training, or counseling from your sanctuary, fellowship hall, classroom or office and be able to interact through video and audio with 3, 4 or more other locations (Distance Sites) in real time. Videoconferencing makes it possible to have bible fellowship in Memphis, San Antonio, Mexico, and even Africa as easy as making a phone call.
• Imagine moving into your brand new sanctuary and everyone thinks that’s great. But there are members in your original neighborhood that is unable to travel to the new sanctuary and you own the old sanctuary. Videoconferencing will allow you to be present at the new sanctuary and have presence in the original sanctuary. All you need is for someone to open the original sanctuary and turn on the projector and sound system. The video conference equipment has a sleep mode so it is always on.
• Imagine your church sends a group to Africa for missionary. They make contact with a non profit organization and setup a place for church services that has internet access. Through video conference, you can conduct church services in your sanctuary and interact with the people in Africa. Your missionaries can in-trust the equipment with someone there and now you have a permanent presence in Africa.

Videoconferencing is the answer to adding fresh new ideals to your ministry; a tool that will reinforce old ministries and add new ministries. Growing God’s kingdom through technology is a new concept. If it is God’s will, TeleWorld and you will be able to break new ground, and reach new people.
