I'm sorry to hear about your mother. I've been divorced since 1984; my ex-wife found somebody else. God never makes mistakes and I learned how to let go and take one day at a time.

I have to get ready for our Make-A-Wish program today at 2 o'clock. My group, Roy & the Tiki Dancers, has to perform a dance today.

My mother died on Veteran's Day in 2000 and my brother, Barry, works for the FBI and is on a 3 yr assignment in DC. My oldest visited with him for a week last summer.

I am proud of them; I've had custody of my two oldest children since he was 3 and she was one. I raised them by myself. Venus and I raised Justin together even though we were never married.

I keep in touch with a lot of people that went to Corry with us.
Sylvia and I talk all the time.
So keep in touch.

I also have a daughter, Jessica, who is spoiled that graduated from Tenn St. with a degree in marketing and lives in Atlanta. My oldest, Roy III, graduated from UT Knox with a degree in computer engineering, lives downtown and is a systems engineer at MLGW. Justin just sent me a text msg on my phone about 10 minutes ago.

Velma's husband and I are best friends.

I don't know if you remember Sylvia Boyd, but a couple of weeks ago she asked me about you or if I knew someone that had talked to you. Now how weird is that! (smile)

I was captain of the football team and I ran track.
I have a younger brother Barry Loggins who was a year behind us.
Nina Staples, Beatrice Barnes, Charlie Hunt and Tim Bell also went to Southside.
Also, my youngest son's mother also teaches at Springdale, her name is Ms. Venus Smith.
