Wednesday Word for February 15, 2012

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. ~ John 3:16

Now this is the first and best Valentine gift ever.  God loves you and me so much that He gave… and He didn’t give just anything, He gave the best thing.  He gave His son Jesus.

Be still…take a moment…and meditate on that thought.  Allow the Holy Spirit to wrap God’s loving arms around you.  Be quiet and enjoy being in the presence of love.  Enjoy being in the presence of God, for He is love.

And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. ~ Romans 5:5

So whether or not you have a human Valentine, take joy in knowing that no matter what, you will always have a supernatural, holy Valentine that promises to love you and be with you always.  He will never leave you or forsake you.  His love is unconditional and never ending.

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.  God is love.  Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. ~ 1 John 4:16

That, my friend, is the greatest love of all.
