Im a single mother , been raising my youngest daughter who is 8, on my own now for over two years and it has been really really hard. I dont get any child support from her father at all and she only sees him twice a month. It has been very troubleing for both her and myself but with the help of God, our Savior, he has been there for us watching over us. I work full time to take care of my daughter but it just doesnt seem to be enough..I worry constantly about how I am going to come up with money to feed her with and be able to pay all the bills. I know there are many women out there in the same situation as myself...I pray for them too...May God continue to bless us all with his mercy and grace!!
God bless you Kimberly. Yes it is hard but it is not impossible. I am the mother of 4 beautiful children (Brionna, 23yrs, Tristan, 22yrs, and twins Kirsten and Kirk are now 11 yrs). I have never been married but Brionna is about to graduate from grad school, Tristan is a senior in college, and the twins are in 6th grade. Many times I've wondered how we were going to make it; I've lost homes and managed to keep my sanity through it all. God will give you what you need it you give Him what He wants. That is acknowledgement that He is sovereign. He already has all and knows all, so all that He wants from us is praise, worship, and commitment to Him. I found out that if I turn everything over to Him, He would begin to work on my behalf. Everything that I need of Him was already in His hand, I just needed to access it so that He could open it. Be blessed.
What a coincidence or is it Godincidence to find someboby with exactly same name as myself who is a single mother and has twins just like me.
being a single parent is some what frustrating, but i try not to focus on the hardest on the matter, because i have to look forward with hope and assurance that the LORD will see me threw. and continue to seek ye first the kingdom of GOD. i have 3 children. my oldest has finished college with his masters, and i can truly say TO GOD BE THE GLORY. so be encouraged and keep GOD FIRST AND FOREMOST IN YOUR LIFE . and train up your children. blessing to you all.
By putting God first and enjoying my children. My grandmother always said "your children will keep you young" and that's the truth. I am 48 and I have a 16, 13, 10, and 7 year old children. I feel as young as I can be and I have fun with my children. We are always doing something silly around the house. We don't have to go on trips or vactions to enjoy ourselves. Just go to your local mall, a night at the movies or just sit around the house and watch a movie or tv. Talk to your children about anything and everything. You can be their friend. I learned that being friends with my children has made life and raising them so much easier to deal with all the things thats happen in the world today. Have Bible study at home with them as well. You teach them about life and about what the Word of God says. They will listen. I promise you that they will, because mine listens to me. I love my children and show it and tell it to them as well
I truly understand each of the comments that were made. Single motherhood was not the prescription I wrote for myself, but God granted me a son to heal my inner wounds. Whenever I want to give up or feel sorry for the fact that my son doesn't have his father within our household, I remember that God is "our" Father. He can take what the enemy meant for bad and bless it. View your children, your singleness and motherhood as the blessing that it is - declaring daily that you CAN and WILL do all things through Christ. This isn't an easy road. I have searched God's Word looking for a promise of easy - it's not there. What I did find were promises of His presence, His meeting my needs, His love, His forgiveness, His salvation. I will take that over anything or anyone else any day. Be encouraged and see the salvation of God - through your children and inside of yourself.
