Either way, it is wrong. If a married man or woman goes outside the marriage for sex, they are both committing adultery. If a single person has sex with a married person--yes, they are fornicating, and the married person is committing adultery. The Bible says that adultery is grounds for a divorce. However, it doesn't say you have to get a divorce, but that it is "grounds" for a divorce. In Galatians 5:19,21, it speaks of the consequences of fornication, "Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, envying, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God." It also says, "thou shalt not commit adultery". I hope this sheds some light on your question and comment.
