Walking in YOUR will, Stop Blaming GOD!

You may be like millions of others around the world who have been taught that GOD is real, and for many, believing that is the “Religiously Correct” thing to do.  You’ve said to yourself, “my grandmother and grandfather were believers… my mom and dad, aunts and uncles went to church and believed… so it just makes good sense to do what they did. I look up to them and I saw the lives they lived… and GOD must have had a hand in their lives…especially my crazy uncle and aunt who just drove everyone crazy with their daily drama and tirades against certain people in the community and most of our family.” You have told yourself that GOD is real. You accepted Christ into your life, you were baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and you even participate in various church ministries to help others. You have professed your love for GOD!  But if you love GOD and believe in GOD… why are you trying to walk in YOUR will?!

The truth of the matter is some of us have never really experienced GOD the way GOD needs us to experience HIM. Remember, some of us believe GOD is there because we have been TAUGHT that it’s the right thing to do. And we have not taken any additional steps to experience GOD in a very REAL way. I know what you are thinking. “I accepted Christ into my life and that should be enough, right?” Yes and no. You see, when you made the decision to accept Christ into your life some of you thought that was the end of your spiritual journey, when in fact it was just the beginning of your walk. You thought that you had made it to the mountain top and now you could put your walk on auto-pilot. You put your spiritual journey in the hands of YOUR self-created auto-pilot device… and guess what? That device took you off course.

You are thinking right now that “this is non-sense. I pray to GOD everyday and ask HIM to lead me…so this message does NOT apply to me.” If that’s the case, why are you stressed out over some problem or problems in your life? Why are you trying to force things to happen in your life the way YOU think they should happen? Why are you angry? Why are you sad? Why are you depressed? Why do you make decisions based on your emotions because YOU FEEL it’s the right thing to do? If you have experienced GOD the way HE needs us to experience HIM… those questions would NOT apply to you because you would be at peace right now. GOD is a GOD of peace, love, compassion, restoration, and forgiveness.  If you were REALLY walking in HIS will, you would be at peace knowing that GOD is covering you all over. When you walk in HIS will… HE has you covered above, on both sides, underneath, in front and behind you. Walking in HIS will doesn’t mean you won’t hit major bumps in the road, but what it does mean is when you hit those bumps, those bumps won’t take you completely out because GOD Has YOU completely covered! Walking in HIS will is like having auto insurance. You’re in GOOD hands with ALL-MIGHTY Insurance! It’s the kind of insurance that has no deductible you have to meet before it begins paying out on your claim. YOU ARE COVERED AT 100%...and guess what? IT”S ABSOLUTELY FREE because JESUS already paid the price!

But you still have decided to walk in YOUR will. Walking in your will means you are leaning on your own understanding. You are directing YOUR own path. You are acknowledging YOU know what’s best for you in all YOUR ways. You are relying on your flesh to guide you. In comes Satan. You don’t know but he has your hand and he is pulling you. You think your thoughts are your thoughts, but Satan works in our minds. He tries to push our emotional buttons. He has a field day when you don’t realize that Satan and his evil forces are playing you. And you are too smart to realize it because you know it ALL. YOU know what you need. You are the captain of this ship. No one can tell you anything because YOU KNOW IT ALL!

What you don’t know is because you know it all, YOU have NOT experienced GOD the way HE needs you to experience HIM. You are still walking in YOUR will. And you wonder why negative things are happening to you. You are upset, sad, depressed and then you want to blame GOD for NOT hearing you. You want to blame GOD for not covering you completely because of a decision YOU made. You made a decision based on how you “FEEL” even though something inside of you said DON’T DO IT! Your situation looks bleak because SATAN, the ultimate public relations spin doctor, has spun you into believing that your situation is hopeless and GOD has not answered your prayers. He has spun you into questioning GOD’s very existence because of things that have happened to you in your life. Remember, YOU decided to walk in YOUR will, NOT GOD’S will!!!!!! But we are here to tell you that GOD never left you when you went on auto-pilot and decided to walk in YOUR will. He is always above you. But Satan is pulling your hand in the spirit realm. Satan is pulling you fast… and the small bumps in the road feel like you’re being slammed into brick walls. It hurts. You are battered, bruised and bloodied all over. But GOD is still above you. You have sustained some casualties while you walked in YOUR will, but GOD is still above you. If you were walking in HIS will those bumps would sting, but they would not take you completely out. You remember what we said earlier? Walking in HIS will gives you complete insurance coverage and the assurance to know that the price has already been paid for us through Jesus…and that the bumps won’t take you out. Walking in YOUR will means there’s a major price you are going to have to pay. Satan’s insurance agent forgot to tell you that you have a huge deductible to meet. It’s your soul!

When you realize Satan is real and has manipulated you all this time… that’s the moment when you know GOD has always had you covered above. NOW you have to LET GO of Satan’s hand and LOOK UP… and wrap your arms around GOD so HE can pull you up and place you back on course (HIS WILL)! That’s when you have that moment when YOU HAVE EXPERIENCED GOD the way HE needs you to experience HIM. Now you are leaning NOT on your own understanding. In all your ways you are acknowledging HIM… and you are completely committed to GOD directing your path. When you realized Satan was pulling your hand… that’s when you truly submitted yourself to the will of GOD. When you realized Satan was pulling your hand… you acknowledged that you were flawed. It’s called SELF-EXAMINATION! You went to GOD truly sorry (repentant) for what you have done. You are profoundly sorry for the pain you’ve caused yourself and those around you. YOU are now seeing YOU as GOD sees YOU! And you are NOW experiencing GOD the way GOD needs YOU to experience HIM. You will look back and see GOD’s hand all over your life with the blinders removed. You will cry tears of joy because HIS GRACE is beyond human comprehension. You were blind, but now that you have experience GOD for yourself…  You were blind but NOW YOU SEE!

When you see, you know you have been restored. You are at peace and the things that use to bother you do not anymore. You have control of your emotions and you now see Satan’s tactics and you are able to recognize Satan’s work. You see people differently now. You now have compassion for those who don’t see what you see. You also have compassion for yourself because you don’t know GOD’s entire plan. You have been changed because you are NOW walking in GOD’S will for your life.
