The role of a christian husband in his home.

In light of the times in which we live in the world I query members of BGI. In our country women have risen to financial independence and their husbands may struggle in their career/job. Traditionally, the husband was the provider, bread winner if you will. In these times what is the role of the christian husband in his home when he finds himself in the position of earning less income that his spouse-is it still his responsibility to protect and provide for his family or does he pass this role off to his wife (she earns more dollars) or do they share 50/50, 30/70 or does she bring her earnings and place them in his hands without question or vice versa. Are our husbands being taught and are they seeking direction in this changing world about their role as head of home? Does wife submit if husband refuses to provide because (she earns more)? Food for thought..

First and foremost outside of being Politically Correct, the role of the Husband is be as Abraham was w/ God. Abraham knew the Lord and the Lord knew him, and thus he would COMMAND HIS FAMILY AFTER THE THINGS OF GOD. His role goes much deeper than being BREAD WINNER. The responsibilities are vast, he is INTERCESSOR,PROPHET , PRIEST ,KING ,LOVER ,FRIEND, PROTECTOR and more , All of this comes w/ being a MAN OF GOD w/ God at the helm, the descrepancy of finances wouldn't be a problem. OH if he isn't a MAN OF GOD and you are a WOMAN OF GOD the bible says that you sanctify the household. (1 Cor. 7:13-14). As for a split in the monies you are one in the Lord.
