Since when do you have to give ten percent to your church?

A question was recently posed about tithing by one of our BGI members. The member wants to know why tithing is important, and can you spread your spirit of giving around to support other organizations that are doing work to help people? What do you think?

Yes there are many you can give to that are doing the work of the Father. If you have to ask the question maybe you don't need to do it. You are more than likely not doing it from your heart and therefore wasting your money. It great to give money but how about a tenth of you time? What is 2.4 hour of your time per day. Yea if you give money, how about time?
