Annit, my dear brother, you absolutely must forgive. We are instructed to do so. I know that others can hurt us but God can give us the ability to sincerely forgive. You see, the only prisoner here is you. The person that hurt you is living their life and doing whatever they please. You, however, are a slave to this painful occurrence. I am not saying that it will be easy or quick. I can assure you that if you pray to God to remove this bitterness from you, He will. It takes time and sincerity. My experience with someone who hurt me was that even when that person had done nothing good for me I blessed them anyway. I fed them when they were hungry and I can tell you that now I even pray that they may receive the desires of their heart. In doing so, I am released from the resentment and anger. God made them so we have to trust God to fix them if it is His will to do so. Don't hold on to the hurt but let it go and live! It's in you because there is a seed of righteousness in each of us and that's Jesus. We can do all things through Christ. Be encouraged!
