A 9/11 praise!

Today, we welcomed our #11 grandchild into the world. Her name is Kyla Maree and she is beautiful! Maybe, I am reading more into a # of coincidences than is there but I don't really believe in coincidences. When I learned that my daughter in law would be having a C section on 9/11 my first response was one of joy. I believe that day should be redeemed. Why should it only be a reminder of a tragic event? In fact why not many babies born on that day to remind us of the blessing of life?
I need to explain a few things that I find particularly significant.

#1 My daughter in law is a big girl. She is six feet tall and my son is not a lightweight. Therefore, they have big babies. My son's first daughter was born three weeks early and she was over eight pounds. His son weighed in at 9lbs. and 8 ounces So on the way to the hospital we were taking guesses about how much Kyla would weigh. I almost guessed that she would be 9lbs. and 11ounces because of it being 9/11 but I decided that she wouldn't be that big and instead guessed 9 lbs. Kyla weighed 9lbs. and 11 1/2 ounces!

# 2 Kyla was born at 11: 21 am

#3. So Kyla my 11th grandchild was born at 11:21 am on 9/11/08 the seventh anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy weighing 9lbs. and 11 1/2 ounces. The meaning of the name Kyla is "victorious" her middle name is Maree (pronounced the same as Marie) which means "bitter" or a more descriptive meaning of the name is "curse" and she most assuredly has brought the victory of life into an otherwise cursed day (at least for our family) :)
